Prior to this video, I was unaware that Mika starred in television and film productions in Canada and the United States. She has been credited as Hatsue's sister Yukiko Imada in "Snow Falling on Cedars". Mika has also done some extras work before she became an Assistant Language Teacher on the JET Program. Mika continues to work in Japan as of this writing.
In "As You Were", Mika represents a guide, an abstract of friendship, a clearer memory. |

"As You Were" is my first music video project since Statement of Agreement. Before traveling through Japan in May 2005, I wanted to create a video that was personal and strong, but not impossible.. This video is the result.

A three year Japan Exchange and Teaching Program assistant english teacher, Dion was responsible for scheduling and shooting the junior high school scenes. This is Dion's second collaboration with me and the first time we worked together in our original workplace of Kitakyushu City.
As of this writing, Dion has returned to his home state of Arkansas and teaches at a junior high school. |

Both still photographer and camera operator, Kim's contributions to the project were invaluable. She was responsible for video and stills in all Tokyo locations (Shibuya Crossing, Ginza Crossing, Train Interior, Akihabara, "Hive" Apartment Complex hallway, Saitama suburbs).
